Error: Firmware Upgrade Failed

Last Updated: Mar 16, 2016 02:11PM MDT
Q: When I tried to update the firmware on my SMART glasses, I received the error message, "Firmware Upgrade Failed"

A: The most common cause of a failed firmware update is a missing or full SD card. Our firmware requires 50 MB of free space to correctly update. This means that before you download the update you must have an SD card fully inserted into your glasses and the SD card must have 50 MB or more free.  Additionally, your battery level on your glasses must be 50% or higher.

If you have checked the above and are still receiving the error, you can try performing a manual firmware update as described in the article "Manually updating your firmware
