My glasses turn on, but will not record or take photos

Sometimes you Pivothead eyewear will power on but will not record or capture an image. When this occurs it most likely means that your memory is full, and you need to download the files onto your computer and clear the memory.

If the Pivothead desktop app says your memory is empty there may be hidden file left behind on the memory. The easiest way to clear this up is to reformat the memory.

To reformat the memory on a PC
  1. Plug your Pivotheads into your computer and power them on.
  2. Go into my computer and locate the Pivothead Drive. Right-Click on the drive.
  3. A separate window will appear, scroll and locate, "Format..."
  4. An additional window will pop up again. In the middle you will see a button "Restore Device Defaults", select this button.
  5. Another window will appear asking if you are sure you want to do this. Select "Yes".
  6. Let it run until you see the confirmation "Format Complete".
  7. Once done, safely eject the drive from your computer.

To reformat the memory on a Mac
  1. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port on the Mac.
  2. Open the Disk Utility program, located in the "Utilities" folder under "Applications."
  3. Click the flash drive in the left column.
  4. Click the "Partition" tab.
  5. Click "1 Partition" under "Partition Scheme."
  6. Click "MS-DOS" under the "Format" box.
  7. Click "Apply" to format the drive as FAT32.
  8. Let it run until you see the confirmation "Format Complete".
  9. Once done, safely eject the drive from your computer.
