Changing the Image Settings

Last Updated: Dec 01, 2016 04:09PM MST

You can change the settings of your Pivothead eyewear to best fit your use. To change settings open up the Pivothead desktop app and click to the IMAGE tab.

You can change your RESOLUTION to capture at 8 Megapixels, 5 MP, or 3 MP. We recommend 8 MP for the highest quality images.

WHITE BALANCE can be set accordingly with the environment you're are taking photos in.
Proper camera white balance takes into account the "color temperature" of a light source, which refers to the relative warmth or coolness of white light.

EXPOSURE can be set between -2 to +2 to achieve the best camera setting for your photos. In low-light situations you will want to set EV below 0. We suggest starting at -0.3 then moving back to reach the right exposure combination. For well-lit environments we suggest setting EV above 0, starting at +0.3 and then moving forward until you find the optimal setting.

FOCUS can be set to Auto so that the camera will continuously adjust the focus to keep track of the action. Macro focus can be set when you wish capture "close up" photos.

ISO can be changed to adjust your camera's sensitivity to light. A lower setting makes it less sensitive to light and better in well-lit environments like outdoors or sporting events. Higher ISO is recommended for low light situations.

Time Lapse can be enabled and set to capture images at specified time lapse. You can capture one image every 1, 8, 30, or 60 seconds

Burst can be enabled to allow you to take a burst of photos. Bursts can be set for 3, 5, 10, or 16 photos. This is great for capturing action shots.
