Changing the Video Settings

Last Updated: Dec 23, 2015 02:29PM MST

You can change the settings of your Pivothead eyewear to best fit your use. To change settings open up the Pivothead desktop app and click to the VIDEO tab.

You can change your RESOLUTION to record at 480p, 720p, or 1080p. We recommend 1080p for the highest quality footage, but if you would like to achieve longer recording time or higher FRAME RATE you can choose to record in 720p.

QUALITY should most always be set to Sfine (Super Fine) for the best imaging. If you would like smaller file sizes you can choose to record at Normal or Fine.

FOCUS can be set to Auto so that the camera will continuously adjust the focus to keep track of the action. Fixed focus can be set when you have a more stationary focal point and do not require the lens to continually adjust. Macro focus can be set when you wish capture "close up" video footage.

EXPOSURE can be set between -2 to +2 to achieve the best camera setting for your recording. In low-light situations you will want to set EV below 0. We suggest starting at -0.3 then moving back to reach the right exposure combination. For outdoor well lit situations we suggest setting EV above 0, starting at +0.3 and then moving forward until you find the optimal setting.

FACE TRACKING is a focus mode that will allow the lens to focus on a face even if another object such as a tree comes into the foreground.
